Acupuncture is one of a variety of therapies that may be used to treat animals. It is a means of helping the body heal itself. Acupuncture has been used successfully for nearly 4000 years on humans, as well as animals.
As a matter of fact, it is still the treatment of choice for one quarter of the world’s population for many problems. It is now being utilized by an increasing number of veterinarians, alongside Western medicine, for various disease conditions. It is not a panacea, or cure-all, but in certain disease conditions it works well.

  1. February 11-12: Extraordinary Vessels; The Eight Principles; Diagnostic techniques. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnostic, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  2. March 24-25: Bi and Wei Syndromes; Neurophysiology; clinical cases. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnosis, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  3. April 21-22: Tongue & pulse diagnosis, theory and practice. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnosis, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  4. May 19-20: Pain and the clinical signs of pain in small animals; Electro-acupuncture; Gold beads implants theory & practice.
  5. June 16-17: Pathology & diagnosis of Spleen & Lung disorders according to TCM. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnosis, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  6. July 21-22: Pathology & diagnosis of Kidney according to TCM & Stomach disorders according to TCM. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnosis, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  7. September 22-23: Pathology & diagnosis of Liver & Heart disorders according to TCM. Patient (Equine or Canine) in small groups (diagnosis, treatment strategy, point selection, needling).
  8. October 20-21: Cancer treatment, Treatment of Deficiency, Ting point treatment, EICIWO points. Practical application.
  9. November 17-18: Avian & Bovine acupuncture; Treatment of pain by using 1 point only. I Jing acupuncture and Balance method. Practical application of these theories in Equine and Canine patients on site.
